Ingredients

1/2 cup popcorn kernels (about 16 cups popped)

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1/4 cup honey

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon sea salt (or to taste)

Optional: 1/4 cup brown sugar for extra sweetness

Optional: 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Pop the Popcorn: In a large pot or popcorn maker, pop the popcorn kernels according to the manufacturer's instructions. Once popped, transfer the popcorn to a large mixing bowl, leaving it unseasoned.

Melt the Butter: In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Do not let it brown; just melt it until it's completely liquid.

Combine Honey and Spices: Once the butter is melted, remove it from the heat. Stir in the honey, ground cinnamon, sea salt, and, if desired, the brown sugar. If you're adding vanilla extract, mix it in at this stage as well.

Mix the Coating: Whisk the mixture until it's well combined and smooth. The warmth of the butter will help dissolve the honey and sugar, ensuring an even coating for the popcorn.

Drizzle and Toss: Carefully drizzle the honey cinnamon butter mixture over the popped popcorn while continuously tossing with a spatula or your hands to coat the popcorn evenly.

Serve: Once all the popcorn is coated, taste and adjust the salt or sweetness to your liking. Serve immediately in a large bowl, or transfer it to individual snack bags for a fun movie night treat!
