2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

6 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium recommended)

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon ground ginger

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust for spice preference)

2 tablespoons sesame seeds (for garnish)

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Prep the Chicken: Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.

    Sear the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken thighs and cook for 5–6 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

      Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds or until fragrant.

        Combine Ingredients: Pour in the honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, ground ginger, and red pepper flakes. Stir well to combine and bring the mixture to a simmer.

          Return Chicken to Skillet: Add the browned chicken thighs back into the skillet. Coat the chicken in the sauce, ensuring it is well covered. Let it simmer in the sauce for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
