Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (skin-on or skinless, about 6 oz each)

1/4 cup honey

4 garlic cloves, minced

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, grated ginger, olive oil, and rice vinegar until well combined.

Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Ensure that the salmon is well coated. Cover with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours for more flavor).

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.

Arrange the Salmon: Remove the salmon from the marinade (reserve the marinade) and place the fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Season with salt and pepper.

Bake the Salmon: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.

Create the Glaze: While the salmon is baking, pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 4-5 minutes, or until it thickens slightly.

Glaze the Fillets: Once the salmon is done baking, remove it from the oven and brush the thickened glaze generously over the top of each fillet.

Serve: Optionally, broil the salmon for 1-2 minutes for a caramelized finish. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Enjoy! Serve your honey garlic glazed salmon with steamed rice or sautéed vegetables for a complete meal.
