Ingredients

1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 links of mild chicken or pork sausage, sliced

2 cups broccoli florets

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup honey

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Cooked rice or quinoa, for serving

Chopped green onions, for garnish

Instructions

Prep the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using). Set aside.

Cook the Sausage: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook for about 5-7 minutes, until browned and heated through. Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside.

Sauté the Broccoli: In the same skillet, add the broccoli florets. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until they are bright green and slightly tender. You may add a splash of water to help steam them if desired.

Add the Shrimp: Push the broccoli to one side of the skillet, and add the shrimp to the other side. Season them with salt and pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes, until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.

Combine Everything: Once the shrimp are cooked, add the sausage back into the skillet along with the honey garlic sauce. Stir everything together to combine and allow it to simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Serve: Serve the honey garlic shrimp sausage and broccoli over a bed of cooked rice or quinoa. Garnish with chopped green onions for a pop of color and flavor.
