Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium)

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Marinate the Salmon: In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, olive oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger until well combined. Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator for maximum flavor.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare to Bake: Lightly grease a baking dish with a little oil. Remove the salmon from the marinade (but reserve the marinade for later) and place the fillets in the prepared baking dish.

Bake the Salmon: Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Brush the reserved marinade over the salmon halfway through baking to enhance the flavor.

Glaze the Salmon: While the salmon is baking, pour the remaining marinade into a small saucepan. Bring it to a simmer over medium heat and let it reduce for about 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened.

Serve: Once the salmon is done, drizzle the reduced marinade over the top. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.

Enjoy! Serve the honey glazed salmon with steamed rice or sautéed green vegetables for a well-rounded meal.
