Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)

1 ½ cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

½ teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon salt

1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)

½ cup hot fudge sauce (plus extra for drizzling)

Optional: chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans) for topping

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the granulated sugar until well combined.

Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.

Fold in the chocolate chips and hot fudge sauce. Make sure the fudge sauce is well-distributed for that gooey effect.

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. If desired, sprinkle chopped nuts on top for added texture.

Bake for 40-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs (but not wet batter). Avoid overbaking to keep it fudgy.

Cool the bread in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Serve slices warm or at room temperature, drizzled with additional hot fudge sauce for an indulgent treat.
