Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup hot fudge sauce (plus extra for drizzling)

1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional, walnuts or pecans work well)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan and line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

Combine Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Incorporate Fudge: Add the hot fudge sauce into the butter and sugar mixture, mixing until fully combined.

Combine Mixtures: Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, being careful not to overmix. Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts if using.

Pour into Pan: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top. Drizzle a little extra hot fudge sauce over the top, swirling it in with a knife for a marbled effect.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 40-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean (some melted fudge may cling to the toothpick—this is okay).

Cool: Once done, remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then, transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Serve: Slice and serve warm, drizzled with additional hot fudge sauce if desired. This brownie bread is delicious on its own or paired with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a decadent dessert.
