Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup brown sugar, packed

4 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup chocolate chips

1 cup hot fudge sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Optional: Chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans) for added texture

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan to prevent sticking.

Melt the Butter: In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter completely, ensuring it doesn’t brown. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

Combine Sugars and Butter: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well combined.

Mix in Eggs and Vanilla: Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.

Sift Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. This ensures no lumps and better incorporation.

Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay!

Fold in Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the chocolate chips and optional nuts, ensuring an even distribution throughout the batter.

Add Hot Fudge: Swirl in half of the hot fudge sauce into the brownie batter, creating marbling effects—do not fully combine.

Pour into Pan: Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula. Pour the remaining hot fudge sauce on top and swirl again for a marbled effect.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 45–50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Cool and Serve: Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature, drizzled with extra hot fudge sauce if desired.
