Ingredients

For the Crust:

1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs

½ cup unsalted butter, melted

¼ cup granulated sugar

For the Hot Fudge Filling:

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup heavy cream

½ cup granulated sugar

¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

For the Topping:

Whipped cream

Chocolate shavings or chocolate sauce (optional)

Chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Crust:

    - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

      - In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar until well mixed.

        - Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie pan to form the crust.

          - Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then remove it from the oven and allow it to cool while preparing the filling.

            Make the Hot Fudge Filling:

              - In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the chocolate chips, heavy cream, sugar, and cocoa powder. Stir until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth and combined.

                - Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it cool for about 5 minutes.

                  - In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, vanilla extract, and salt. Gradually add the slightly cooled chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, whisking continuously to prevent the eggs from scrambling.

                    - Pour the filling into the cooled graham cracker crust.

                      Bake the Pie:

                        - Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the filling is set but still slightly soft in the center.

                          - Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool at room temperature for at least 1 hour. It will continue to set as it cools.

                            Serve:

                              - Once the pie is completely cool, slice it into wedges and serve with a generous dollop of whipped cream on top. Optionally, drizzle with chocolate sauce and sprinkle with chocolate shavings or chopped nuts.

                                Enjoy!

                                  - This pie is best enjoyed the same day it's made, but can be stored covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
