Ingredients

1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)

1 cup bittersweet or semisweet chocolate chips

2 large eggs

2 large egg yolks

1/4 cup granulated sugar

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Butter and cocoa powder for greasing ramekins

Optional: powdered sugar and fresh berries for serving

Instructions

Preheat Your Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and prepare four ramekins by greasing them with butter and dusting with cocoa powder.

Melt the Chocolate and Butter: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the butter and chocolate chips. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until completely melted and smooth.

Combine the Eggs and Sugar: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, egg yolks, and granulated sugar until light and frothy.

Mix Ingredients: Slowly incorporate the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, whisking continuously until well combined. Add the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.

Add Flour: Gently fold in the all-purpose flour until no lumps remain, taking care not to overmix.

Pour and Bake: Evenly distribute the batter into the prepared ramekins, filling them about 3/4 full. Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes, until the edges are firm but the centers are soft.

Let It Rest: Once baked, remove from the oven and let sit for 1 minute. Carefully run a knife around the edges of each ramekin to loosen.

Serve: Invert each ramekin onto a plate and gently lift it off. If desired, dust with powdered sugar and serve with fresh berries for garnish.
