Ingredients

1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup sliced pepperoni or Italian sausage

1/2 cup roasted bell peppers, sliced

1/2 cup sautéed mushrooms

1/4 cup black olives, sliced

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Marinara sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

On a clean, floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle, about 12x16 inches.

Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the surface of the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.

Layer the sliced pepperoni or sausage, roasted bell peppers, sautéed mushrooms, and black olives over the cheese.

Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the toppings, and season with oregano and garlic powder for added flavor.

Starting from one of the long edges, carefully roll the dough tightly into a log shape, making sure to keep the filling inside.

Pinch the ends of the dough to seal, and place the Stromboli seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

Brush the top of the Stromboli with the beaten egg to give it a golden color when baked.

Using a sharp knife, make a few diagonal slashes on top of the Stromboli to allow steam to escape while baking.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.

Let the Stromboli cool for a few minutes, then slice it into thick pieces and serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
