1 lb medium shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust for spice level)

1 teaspoon lemon zest

3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

1 head of butter or romaine lettuce, leaves separated and washed

1 avocado, sliced (optional)

1 small cucumber, thinly sliced (optional)

Prepare the Shrimp: In a large bowl, combine the shrimp, olive oil, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Toss the shrimp until they are well-coated in the marinade. Let them marinate for about 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.
