Ingredients

2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent rolls

8 large eggs

1 cup milk

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 cup breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled (or diced ham/bacon)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup diced bell peppers (optional)

1/2 cup diced onion (optional)

Fresh herbs for garnish (chives or parsley)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Prepare Crescent Rolls: Unroll the crescent dough and lay the triangles in the bottom of the greased baking dish, pressing them together to form a complete layer.

Prepare the Egg Mixture: In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

Layer the Ingredients: Evenly distribute the cooked sausage (or ham/bacon), cheese, bell peppers, and onions over the crescent roll layer in the baking dish.

Pour the Egg Mixture: Carefully pour the egg mixture over the entire casserole, ensuring that it is evenly distributed.

Bake: Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the egg is set and the top is golden brown.

Cool and Serve: Let the casserole cool for about 5-10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve warm.

Make-Ahead Option: If you want to prepare this dish ahead of time, assemble the casserole without baking it. Cover it with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. In the morning, let it sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before baking as directed.
