Ingredients

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme)

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

12 oz cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)

Fresh basil, for garnish

Instructions

Season the Chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.

Sear the Chicken: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil. When hot, add the seasoned chicken breasts. Sear for about 6-7 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and let rest for 5 minutes, then slice into strips.

Create the Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in the dried Italian herbs and halved cherry tomatoes, cooking until the tomatoes start to soften, about 3-4 minutes.

Add Cream and Cheese: Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream. Stir well to combine, then add the grated Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes (if using). Allow the sauce to simmer for about 5 minutes until it thickens slightly.

Cook Tortellini: While the sauce is simmering, cook the tortellini according to package instructions in a separate pot of salted boiling water. Drain and set aside.

Combine Chicken and Tortellini: Add the sliced chicken and cooked tortellini to the skillet with the creamy sauce. Toss gently until everything is well coated.

Serve: Garnish with fresh basil. Serve the Marry Me Chicken Tortellini hot, with extra Parmesan cheese on the side.
