Ingredients

4 (6-ounce) salmon fillets, skinless

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

1 tablespoon honey

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1/4 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped

1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped (plus more for garnish)

Salt and pepper, to taste

Zest of 1 lemon

Fresh lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Marinade: In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the olive oil, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, honey, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, lemon juice, and lemon zest until well combined.

Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Brush half of the marinade mixture over the salmon, making sure each fillet is well coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes while you prepare the rest of the dish.

Create the Cream Sauce: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add the remaining marinade mixture. Bring it to a simmer, then add the heavy cream and stir gently. Cook for about 5 minutes or until the sauce thickens slightly. Stir in the sun-dried tomatoes and chopped basil. Remove from heat and set aside.

Bake the Salmon: Place the marinated salmon in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).

Serve: Carefully remove the salmon from the oven and place it on serving plates. Spoon the sun-dried tomato and cream sauce over each fillet. Garnish with additional fresh basil and serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Enjoy the Moment: This dish is perfect for romantic dinners or special occasions. Pair it with a side of garlic mashed potatoes or a fresh green salad to complement the flavors.
