Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup packed brown sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon salt

1 cup chocolate chips

1 cup mini marshmallows

Extra chocolate chips for topping

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).

Add Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract until well combined.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.

Fold in Chocolate Chips: Stir in the chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Prepare Cookie Dough Balls: Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, portion out the dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches between each.

Add Marshmallows: Gently press a mini marshmallow into the center of each cookie dough ball, ensuring it is somewhat submerged but not completely. Sprinkle a few extra chocolate chips on top of each cookie.

Bake Cookies: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers still look slightly soft.

Cool Cookies: Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
