Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

8 oz egg noodles

3 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 medium onion, sliced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced

2 cups green cabbage, shredded

1 bell pepper, sliced (any color)

3 green onions, chopped

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons oyster sauce

1 tablespoon hoisin sauce

2 teaspoons brown sugar

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

Salt and pepper to taste

Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

Cook the Noodles: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Brown the Beef: In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Season with salt and pepper. Remove the beef from the skillet and drain excess fat.

Sauté Veggies: In the same skillet, add the remaining oil. Sauté the sliced onion, garlic, and ginger until fragrant and the onion is translucent, about 2-3 minutes.

Add Vegetables: Stir in the shredded cabbage and bell pepper, cooking for another 5 minutes or until tender.

Combine: Return the browned beef to the skillet. Add the cooked noodles, soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes (if using). Toss everything together to combine well, heating through for about 2 minutes.

Finish and Serve: Once heated, stir in the chopped green onions. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds.
