Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

8 small slider buns

8 slices of cheddar cheese

4 tablespoons mayonnaise

2 tablespoons ketchup

2 tablespoons yellow mustard

1 cup shredded lettuce

1 large tomato, sliced

Dill pickles, sliced (optional)

Cooking oil or butter (for toasting buns)

Instructions

Prep the Patties: In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined to avoid overworking the meat.

Form Sliders: Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape them into small patties slightly larger than the buns, as they will shrink while cooking.

Cook the Patties: Heat a large skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness. In the last minute of cooking, add a slice of cheese on top of each patty, covering the skillet with a lid to help melt the cheese.

Toast the Buns: While the patties are cooking, spread a little butter or oil on the slider buns and toast them in a separate pan or on the grill until golden brown.

Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard. Adjust the quantities to taste if desired.

Assemble the Sliders: Spread a layer of the sauce on each toasted bun half. Place a patty with melted cheese on the bottom half of each bun, followed by shredded lettuce, a slice of tomato, and pickles if using. Top with the other half of the bun.

Serve: Arrange the sliders on a platter and serve hot with your favorite sides or dipping sauces!
