Ingredients

4 large ripe peaches, pitted and sliced

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for serving (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced peaches, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Toss gently until the peaches are well coated.

Transfer the peach mixture to a large oven-safe skillet or baking dish, spreading it evenly across the bottom.

In another bowl, mix together the rolled oats, flour, baking powder, salt, and granulated sugar. Stir to combine.

Pour the melted butter over the oat mixture and mix until crumbly. If you’re using nuts, fold them in at this stage.

Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the peaches in the skillet.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Serve warm, topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream if desired.
