⅓ cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

3 cups all-purpose flour

½ teaspoon salt

For the Filling:

¾ cup brown sugar, packed

2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

1 ½ cups crushed Oreo cookies (about 10-12 cookies)

½ cup cream cheese, softened

For the Cream Cheese Glaze:

4 oz cream cheese, softened

1 ½ cups powdered sugar

2 tablespoons milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ cup crushed Oreo cookies for topping

Instructions

Prepare the Dough:

    - In a small bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-8 minutes until frothy.

      - In a large mixing bowl, whisk together sugar, salt, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.

        - Add the frothy yeast mixture to the bowl and stir to combine.

          - Gradually incorporate the flour, one cup at a time, stirring until a soft dough forms.

            - Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.

              - Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

                Prepare the Filling:

                  - In a medium bowl, mix together softened butter, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and crushed Oreo cookies until it forms a thick paste.

                    Roll Out the Dough:

                      - Once the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air. Roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle approximately 14x10 inches.

                        - Spread the Oreo filling evenly over the surface of the dough.

                          Shape the Rolls:

                            - Starting from the long edge, tightly roll the dough into a log. Pinch the seam to seal.

                              - Slice the log into 12 equal pieces using a sharp knife or dental floss.

                                Second Rise:

                                  - Place the rolls in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spacing them evenly. Cover and let them rise again for about 30 minutes.

                                    Preheat and Bake:

                                      - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

                                        - Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.

                                          Prepare the Cream Cheese Glaze:

                                            - While the rolls are baking, prepare the glaze by mixing the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl until smooth.

                                              Glaze the Rolls:

                                                - Once the cinnamon rolls are out of the oven, let them cool for 10 minutes. Drizzle the cream cheese glaze generously over the warm rolls.

                                                  - Top with additional crushed Oreo cookies for added texture and flavor.

                                                    Serve:

                                                      - Enjoy warm or at room temperature for a delicious breakfast or dessert!
