Ingredients

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup cornstarch

2 large eggs, lightly beaten

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon ginger powder

1/2 cup orange juice

Zest of 1 orange

1/4 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup honey or maple syrup

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon vegetable oil (for frying)

Green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken: In a bowl, mix the flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and ginger powder.

Dredge the Chicken: Dip the chicken pieces into the egg, then coat them in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.

Fry: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the coated chicken pieces in batches until golden and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.

Make the Orange Sauce: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine orange juice, orange zest, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Stir well and bring to a simmer. Cook for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.

Coat the Chicken: In a large bowl, toss the fried chicken pieces with the orange sauce until evenly coated.

Serve: Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot with steamed rice or veggies.
