Ingredients

1 (15.35 oz) package Oreo cookies, crushed

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

2 cups powdered sugar

1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened

2 cups cool whip (thawed)

1 cup milk

1 (3.9 oz) package instant chocolate pudding mix

Gummy worms (for garnish)

Potted plant (optional for presentation)

Instructions

Prepare the Cookie Crust: In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreo cookies with melted butter. Mix until all cookies are well coated. Reserve 1/2 cup of the crushed cookies for topping later. Press the remaining mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish to form a crust.

Make the Cream Cheese Layer: In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy. Fold in 1 cup of cool whip until well integrated.

Combine Pudding: In another bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and milk for about 2 minutes until thickened. Gently fold this pudding mixture into the cream cheese blend until smooth and well combined.

Assemble Layers: Spread the cream cheese and pudding mixture evenly over the Oreo crust in the baking dish. Smooth the top with a spatula.

Add Whipped Topping: Spread the remaining cool whip evenly over the pudding layer, creating a light and fluffy layer on top.

Finish with Oreo Crumbles: Sprinkle the reserved crushed Oreos over the whipped topping, ensuring to cover it completely for that dirt effect.

Garnish: Decorate the top with gummy worms peeking out of the dirt and consider placing the dish in a small potted plant for whimsical presentation.

Chill: Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, ideally overnight, to allow flavors to meld and the cake to set.

Serve: Remove from the refrigerator, slice or scoop, and enjoy this fun and decadent dessert!
