Ingredients

1 package (14.3 oz) Oreo cookies

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

3 cups whipped topping (e.g., Cool Whip)

2 cups milk

1 large instant chocolate pudding mix (3.4 oz)

Gummy worms (for decoration)

Edible soil (optional, for extra texture)

Instructions

Crush the Oreos: In a food processor, crush the Oreo cookies until they resemble fine crumbs. Set aside 1 cup of crumbs for garnishing the top of the cake.

Prepare the Cream Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and cream cheese together with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.

Fold in Whipped Topping: Gently fold in the whipped topping into the cream mixture until blended thoroughly.

Make the Pudding: In another bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and milk until the mixture thickens (about 2 minutes).

Combine Layers: Slowly fold the pudding mixture into the cream mixture until fully incorporated.

Layer the Cake: In a 9x13-inch baking pan, create your first layer with half of the cream mixture. Sprinkle half of the crushed Oreos on top. Repeat this step again with the remaining cream mixture and crushed Oreos.

Garnish: Top the dessert with the reserved Oreo crumbs and place gummy worms throughout for a fun “dirt” effect. If desired, sprinkle on some edible soil for additional texture.

Chill: Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight) to let the dessert set.

Serve: Scoop out portions of the cake into dessert bowls and enjoy your delightful Oreo Dirt Cake!
