Ingredients

4 ripe bananas, peeled and sliced diagonally

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

A pinch of salt

Optional toppings: chopped nuts (e.g., walnuts or pecans), whipped cream, or vanilla ice cream

Instructions

Melt the Butter: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat until bubbling and slightly golden.

Prepare the Bananas: Add the sliced bananas to the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes, allowing them to caramelize on one side.

Flip and Sweeten: Gently flip the bananas using a spatula and sprinkle the brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt over them. Drizzle the vanilla extract on top.

Cook Through: Continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes until the bananas are tender and golden brown on both sides, stirring occasionally to ensure even cooking.
