3 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a bit of heat)

Juice of half a lemon

Zest of 1 lemon

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

    Prepare the Asparagus: Rinse the asparagus under cold water and trim off the woody ends. Pat dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.

      Make the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes (if using), lemon juice, and lemon zest. Mix well until the garlic is evenly distributed.
