Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

3 large eggs

1/2 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup pecans, chopped

1/2 cup corn syrup

1/4 cup maple syrup

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12-cup muffin pan with cupcake liners.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract until combined.

In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.

In a separate bowl, mix together the chopped pecans, corn syrup, maple syrup, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.

Pour about two tablespoons of cupcake batter into each cupcake liner, then spoon a generous tablespoon of the pecan mixture on top. Finally, add another tablespoon of batter over the pecan mixture to cover it.

Bake in the preheated oven for 18-22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the cupcakes to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
