Ingredients

4 boneless pork chops (1-inch thick)

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon smoked paprika

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (or ½ teaspoon dried thyme)

1 cup chicken broth

2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon honey

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Pork Chops: Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Let them sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes.

Sear the Pork Chops: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the pork chops and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until they are golden brown. Transfer the chops to a plate and set aside.

Create the Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and thyme; sauté for about 30 seconds, until fragrant. Pour in the chicken broth, apple cider vinegar, and honey, scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.

Braise the Pork Chops: Return the pork chops to the skillet, spoon some of the sauce over them, and cover with a lid. Reduce the heat to low, allowing them to simmer gently for 10-15 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). This will keep the chops juicy and tender.

Rest and Serve: Remove the skillet from heat and let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes. Serve the chops drizzled with the sauce and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
