1 large French bread loaf

1 cup pizza sauce (store-bought or homemade)

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup pepperoni slices (or your choice of toppings)

1/2 cup bell peppers, diced

1/4 cup black olives, sliced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

    Cut the French bread loaf in half lengthwise, creating two long pieces. Place them cut side up on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

      Spread a generous layer of pizza sauce evenly over each half of the French bread.

        Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, making sure to cover it completely.
