Ingredients

2 thick-cut bone-in pork chops (about 1.5 inches thick)

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for spice)

Salt and pepper to taste

½ cup unsalted butter (1 stick), melted

2 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Pork Chops: Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels, then season both sides generously with salt and pepper.

Make the Spice Rub: In a small bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, and cayenne pepper. Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the pork chops.

Sear the Chops: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the pork chops and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they develop a golden-brown crust.

Prepare the Basting Sauce: In a bowl, mix the melted butter, honey, and apple cider vinegar until well combined.

Baste and Cook: After searing, pour half of the basting sauce over the pork chops, then spoon a bit of the sauce over the top. Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover the skillet, and cook for an additional 10-12 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

Resting Period: Remove the pork chops from the skillet and let them rest on a plate for about 5 minutes. This helps keep them juicy.

Serve: Drizzle the remaining basting sauce over the chops. Garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs if desired, and serve with your favorite sides.
