Ingredients

1 lb breakfast sausage, casing removed

12 oz frozen hashbrowns, thawed

1 cup cream cheese, softened

8 large eggs

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup milk

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks. Drain any excess grease and set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Whisk until smooth and creamy.

Add the thawed hashbrowns to the cream cheese mixture and stir until evenly coated.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and season with salt and pepper.

In a large greased casserole dish (approximately 9x13 inches), layer the hashbrown mixture evenly across the bottom.

Top the hashbrowns with the cooked sausage, spreading it evenly over the mixture.

Pour the whisked eggs evenly over the sausage layer, ensuring it covers the entire dish.

Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the casserole.

Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden and bubbly.

Once baked, let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped green onions.
