Savory Chicken Fettuccine Bake

8 oz fettuccine pasta

2 cups cooked chicken, shredded (preferably rotisserie for convenience)

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)

1 small onion, finely chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp Italian seasoning

½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tbsp olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    Cook the Fettuccine: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the fettuccine pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

      Sauté Vegetables: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until softened. Add the minced garlic and sauté for another minute, stirring frequently to avoid burning.

        Prepare the Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth to the skillet, stirring to combine. Add the Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Bring to a gentle simmer.

          Combine Ingredients: Stir in the shredded chicken, broccoli florets, and half of the mozzarella cheese. Mix well until everything is coated in the creamy sauce.

            Combine with Pasta: In a large mixing bowl, add the cooked fettuccine and pour the chicken and sauce mixture over it. Gently fold everything together until the pasta is well coated.

              Assemble the Bake: Transfer the fettuccine mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and all of the Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.

                Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
