2 cups cooked and shredded chicken

2 cups fresh broccoli florets

1 cup uncooked pasta (penne or rotini work well)

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup cream of chicken soup (or homemade equivalent)

1/2 cup milk

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 tsp Italian seasoning

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)

2 tbsp olive oil (optional, for topping)

Instructions
 

Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    Prepare the pasta: Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

      Blanch the broccoli: While the pasta is cooking, bring a small pot of water to a boil. Add the broccoli florets and blanch for about 2-3 minutes until vibrant green and just tender. Drain and set aside.

        Combine ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, blanched broccoli, cooked pasta, cream of chicken soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Stir until everything is well mixed.

          Transfer to baking dish: Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch (23x33 cm) baking dish, spreading it evenly.

            Add cheese: Top the mixture with shredded cheddar cheese.

              Breadcrumb topping (optional): In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with olive oil and sprinkle evenly over the cheese layer for a crunchy topping.

                Bake: Cover the dish loosely with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.
