Ingredients

8 oz linguine pasta

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust for spice preference)

1/2 cup dry white wine (such as Sauvignon Blanc)

1 lemon, juiced and zested

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving (optional)

Instructions

Cook the Linguine: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.

Sauté the Shrimp: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and olive oil together. Once combined, add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Add the Shrimp: Increase the heat to medium-high and add the shrimp to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Sauté for 2-3 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque.

Deglaze with Wine: Pour in the white wine, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Allow the mixture to simmer for 2-3 minutes until the wine reduces slightly.

Combine Everything: Add the cooked linguine to the skillet along with the reserved pasta water, lemon juice, and zest. Toss everything together, ensuring the pasta is coated in the delicious sauce.

Final Touches: Stir in the chopped parsley and adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if necessary.

Serve: Plate the Shrimp Scampi Linguine, garnishing with freshly grated Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve immediately for the best flavor experience!
