Ingredients

1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and diced

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional, for added richness)

Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8 inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

In a medium bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar, mixing well until fully combined. The mixture will be glossy.

Add in the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth.

In another bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, folding gently to combine. Be careful not to overmix.

Once the batter is unified, gently fold in the diced strawberries and chocolate chips if using, ensuring an even distribution throughout the batter.

Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean with a few moist crumbs.

Allow the brownies to cool in the baking dish for about 10-15 minutes before lifting them out (if using parchment paper). Let them cool completely on a wire rack.

Once cooled, cut into squares and dust with powdered sugar if desired. Serve and enjoy your delightful strawberry brownies!
