Ingredients

2 lbs chicken wings

1 cup honey

½ cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a large bowl, whisk together the honey, BBQ sauce, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt until well combined.

Marinate the Wings: Add the chicken wings to the bowl, making sure they are evenly coated with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for more intense flavor.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top to allow for even cooking.

Prepare for Baking: Remove the wings from the marinade (reserve the marinade) and pat them dry with paper towels. This helps achieve a crispy skin. Toss the wings in olive oil and arrange them in a single layer on the wire rack.

Bake the Wings: Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, turning them halfway through. They should be golden brown and crispy.

Glaze the Wings: While the wings are baking, pour the reserved marinade into a saucepan and bring it to a simmer over medium heat. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until it thickens slightly.

Coat the Wings: Once the wings are done baking, transfer them to a large mixing bowl, and pour the thickened glaze over them. Toss the wings until they are evenly coated.

Serve: Garnish the wings with chopped parsley and serve immediately with extra BBQ sauce on the side for dipping.
