Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce

1/4 cup honey

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 cup diced onions (optional)

1/2 cup diced bell peppers (optional)

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

In a medium bowl, combine Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to create a marinade.

Place the boneless chicken breasts in the crockpot. If using, sprinkle the diced onions and bell peppers over the top.

Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it is well-coated.

Cover the crockpot with a lid and cook on low heat for 6-7 hours or on high heat for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.

Once cooked, remove the chicken from the crockpot and shred it using two forks.

Return the shredded chicken to the crockpot and mix it well with the barbecue sauce. Let it heat through for about 10-15 minutes.

Serve the sweet and tangy chicken on toasted buns, over rice, or in tacos. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
