1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

For the Peanut Butter Swirl:

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon milk (or more as needed for consistency)

Prepare Your Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Make Brownie Dough: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Beat in cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder until well combined.

      Prepare Peanut Butter Swirl: In a small bowl, mix together the creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk. Stir until smooth. Adjust the consistency with more milk if needed—it should be pourable but thick.

        Form Cookies: Using a cookie scoop or a tablespoon, drop spoonfuls of brownie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between each cookie.

          Add Peanut Butter Swirl: Drizzle a small amount of the peanut butter mixture on top of each brownie dough scoop. Use a toothpick or the end of a knife to gently swirl the peanut butter into the brownie dough.

            Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set, and the tops look slightly crackly.

              Cool: Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
