1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 tablespoon water

1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Vegetable oil (for frying)

Marinara sauce (for dipping)

Prepare the Cheese: Cut the mozzarella sticks in half if they aren’t already. Place them in the freezer for about 30 minutes. This will help them hold their shape during frying.

    Set Up the Breading Station: In three separate bowls, set up your breading station. In the first bowl, add all-purpose flour seasoned with a pinch of salt and pepper. In the second bowl, whisk together the eggs and water. In the third bowl, combine the breadcrumbs with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, and a little more salt and pepper.

      Bread the Cheese: Remove the mozzarella from the freezer. Take each stick and roll it in the flour first, shaking off any excess.
