Instructions

Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

      Prepare the Baking Sheet:

Line a 9x13-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later.

          Make the Base Layers:

            - Lay a single layer of saltine crackers over the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

              - In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and mix in the brown sugar. Stir constantly until the mixture starts to boil. Allow it to boil for an additional 2 minutes without stirring.

                - Pour the butter-sugar mixture evenly over the saltine crackers, spreading it out gently with a spatula.

                  Bake the Base:

Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are bubbly and slightly golden.

                      Prepare the Toffee Layer:

                        - Remove the dish from the oven and immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips and butterscotch chips over the hot toffee layer. Let them sit for 2-3 minutes to soften.

                          - Gently spread the melted chips with a spatula to create an even layer.

                            Add the Heavy Cream:

Drizzle the heavy cream over the chocolate layer. Use a spatula to swirl it gently into the chocolate and butterscotch mixture until combined, creating a beautiful marbled effect.

                                Add the Nuts:

Sprinkle the crushed nuts evenly on top and finish with a light sprinkle of sea salt.

                                    Chill and Set:

Allow the bars to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes, then transfer them to the refrigerator to set for at least 1 hour.

                                        Slice and Serve:

Once set, lift the toffee bars out of the baking dish using the parchment overhang. Cut into squares or rectangles and enjoy!
